Click
the link to the left to download DM's Familiar and
all of the assorted support files that DM's Familiar
requires. This is a FREE 30-day evaluation version
of DM's Familiar. It is a 26MB download (sorry).
Once downloaded, run the Setup.EXE program to install
DM's Familiar. Be sure to download the Update (below--a
much smaller file!).
Feats, Rules, Skills, Spells, Weapons. 11/6/11. (Download the zip file, unzip the files to your computer, and then use File > Import in DMF for each individual file)
Adventures
These files are Codex Tree exports. Unzip all of the files to a directory, open the Codex Tree in DM's Familiar, and select File > Import > Codex Tree. The import routine will walk you through the file types to import. The import will want to import one file of every type, just click cancel if you don't have a file of that type.
These files are Open Game Content. See the OGL within the
Codex Tree once you import.
A set of completely empty data. You might want to install this if you're playing something other than 3.5 D&D. Unzip the files into your DATA folder. This will ERASE EVERYTHING in your DATA folder!
Download
and install this file. Then use the File > Import function
in DMF to import the files just created in your c:\familiar\import
folder. Import the creatures file last!
You don't need this if you installed the demo after 8/1/04.
New
PCGen stat block output sheet. Worked with version 5.6.
Right-click, Save As, save in your OutputSheets folder
in PCGen. Use Settings to set this as your output sheet.
*(Right-click
this, Save As, and save to your ETools \ XML \ Characters
folder. Change the file extension to .XSL if your browser
tries to change it.)

The SIZE file. Right-click each of these, select Save Target As, and save these files to your main Familiar DATA directory (c:\Familiar\data). Be careful downloading the CDX file. Some browsers want to change the file name to .CDF. You need to make sure it is CDX.

problem of your screens not remembering positions correctly.
Right-click each of these, select Save Target As, and

Output Window Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
This CSS sheets add advanced formatting to your output window. You must be using the HTML output window for these to work.
To install: Right-click on the file name and select Save As. Save it as output.css in your c:\familiar directory.
